Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, Database Engineer, or Platform Engineer supporting enterprise database environments.
Hands-on experience designing, administering, and supporting high-availability database platforms across Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL/EDB PostgreSQL, and/or YugabyteDB.
Strong Oracle DBA experience, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Flashback, TDE, backup/recovery, patching, and production support.
Experience with MongoDB administration, including replica sets, sharding, indexing, security, performance tuning, and version upgrades.
Proven ability to support large-scale database environments with multiple business-critical applications and production database instances.
Strong SQL tuning experience, including indexing strategy, execution plan analysis, workload analysis, PL/SQL optimization, and query performance improvement.
Experience performing database upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities with minimal or no production downtime.
Experience with database monitoring, capacity planning, health checks, incident response, and SLA/uptime improvement.
Working knowledge of database security practices, including authentication, RBAC, auditing, encryption, and compliance alignment.
Experience automating database operations using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, or similar tools.
Ability to partner with application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams to improve database standards and support processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating applications from relational databases to MongoDB or other NoSQL platforms.
Experience with data mapping, schema/document modeling, migration validation, and production cutover planning.
Familiarity with CIS benchmarks, enterprise security standards, and sensitive data protection practices.
Experience with Oracle 12c/19c and MongoDB 4.2 through 7.0.
Experience supporting distributed SQL or cloud-native database platforms such as YugabyteDB.
Experience with EDB PostgreSQL administration, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or cloud database certifications are a plus.
